Guild Capes
I joined a guild in the april BWE and was dissapointed with the obstructing view of my characters posterior. I chose my character (female) because i liked watching my character. Then when i joined a guild, i found the cape so unapealing i might quit the guild just to get the posterior view back. A nice feature might be adding toggle guild cape on/off. I like my female character very much and would rather watch her run around than some steroid enduced male character.

The toggle key for the cape has come up a few times, you might wanna do a search for that and include the links as support for your request. I tend to agree for another reason: I am not into PVP so not into the whole guild thing.
In my humble opinion this prejudices me many times, or so it appeared, when I was say at Riverside trying to join a group. All the groups were guilds and they weren't interested in having a non-guild person in their team. It might be that is just how it seemed, however I kept asking and asking in the public chat "Level 20 Ranger/Nec lfg." It wasn't until another group came, most of which weren't in a guild, that I got a team to be in.
If people could toggle their cape to show or not then people wouldn't rely on the cape as a status symbol that doubles as a form of criteria for picking someone.

considering i created my cape for the looks alone, and was, atleast for the first day, the only person in it, i didnt see a need for this, and then i met a bunch of women, and they wanted in the guild and i let them in because they were everything i needed for a group, an ele, a healer and a mesmer...and the cape was twice as wide as them...very dissapointing.. even the ability to shrink the size of your PERSONAL cape, would be nice

A cape toggles would be very nice. I like my cape, and would probably never turn it off, but those who don't want to see it should be allowed to get rid of it.
What I'd also like to see, eventually, is the option to show your guild symbol in various ways besides the cape. Some of the armor types for certain professions just don't look right at all with capes. It would be great to have the option of displaying my guild symbol on the back of my coat (for armor that includes a coat) or on breastplate or a shield.

yea, a black hood along with black armor would look amazing! Combine that with /bowhead and your character would look really cool.

I play a ranger and when I where my rawhide vest armor It looked like I have on two capes. So yes I would live a togle button. Or have the guild symbol directly on the armor.

would be nice to have a tab in the guild menue with checkboxes
ensignia(sp?)
cape yes/no
shield yes/no
armor yes/no
this would allow a cape to be toggled and or all guild insignia(sp?) to be removed, this would restrict the possible guild profiling that is bound to appear eventually

Okay, here goes an insanity...
What about a guildcape "origami" emote? You type "/origami" (or however it's spelled) and in the animation you reach back, grab the cape, roll it up, toss it around in your hands and it generates a random shape, say a duck, a cat, etc.
Far fetched? Sure. Impossible? No. Likely? Dunno.
Entertainment options when waiting for a match in PVP are not so many. At least this is random. It'd be great if they kept adding to the library of possible shapes it'll make. hahahaah
Maybe every once and a while you get some gold or materials from doing it too? hahahaha
Am I joking? Not sure of that either.

I like my cape.. hell I even designed the emblem on it, but would also like for them to add a cape toggle... sometimes you just want to look at your sweet armor! lol

I agree with a Cape Toggle. I personally made a Guild for the sole purpose of a cape, but sometimes I just don't want it depending on the situation.
